Announcing a new PIC HW platform - the HamStack

Hi everyone,
I wanted to let you know that we are now releasing our new line of PIC based hardware kits called the HamStack. Its based on the PIC processors and we are tailoring it to ham radio applications but of course you can use it for just about anything. Highlights...

- Uses 40 pin CPUs (18F4620, 18F46K22, etc)
- Arduino shield pin compatible (as much as possible)
- Examples written in Swordfish Basic
- Option boards include...
Prototype board
Dual 8A SPDT relay board
RF Zigbee module board
LCD and interface
You can download the preliminary "Getting Started Guide" at the web site. The guide includes Swordfish Basic program examples.

Hi Gary !
Thanks for the reply. I figured there would be some hams out there. We started putting some ham radio projects up on the web site. So far between our docs and the web site we have a smart dummy load, DTMF decoder, CW encoder, and some other goodies.

Hi Gramo,
Thanks for the comment. I just posted an up date to the web site with a new board we call the "Project Board". I has the following features...
Features

2 digital inputs with 10k pull up resistors to +5v DC
4 analog inputs with a selectable voltage range of 0-5 or 0-22 volts DC
3 high speed, quiet, SPST reed relays capable of switching up to 500 ma.
1 opto isolated digital output
1 RS-232 serial port
1 analog signal output that can generate a sine wave 0-5kHz at 0-5v DC
8870 DTMF decoder chip
1 Temperature probe input
3 additional general purpose CPU IO connections
5v DC power supply (supply rail for logic and analog chips)
2.5v DC power supply (bias supply for op amps)
3.3v DC power supply (supply rail for 3.3v parts)
5 pole low pass filter to condition the analog signal generators output

This is a 3"x5" board that can mount in a nice Hammond chassis box. The HamStack CPU board plugs on top of this project board making a nice platform for prototyping or a project itself. Accessory boards can stack on top (Arduino style) including a relay board, protoboard, Zigbee RF board, etc.
