Post by richardb » Mon Mar 25, 2013 9:15 am

I've just tried to install swordfish in a windows 7 64bit pc and although it appeared to install ok its reporting a problem with the usb key.

device manager just reports "windows cannot verify the digital signaturefor the drivers required for the device.....

i found this but didnt seem to help.

Download this to use SF without the USB Key..

http://www.mecanique-web.co.uk/download ... ish-si.exe

and then enter your product registration key to install, you might need to contact David for your Product Key.

We added a new user to a Win 7 box and now the original user gets the error message for the dongle but the new user can use SF with no problem. Would installing anything mess up the one that works?

You should uninstall any version of the software that required a dongle and install the latest version as described here:

Are there limitations to how many times it can be installed?

Edit: ahh three.
The new system allows you to install on up to three machines. If you need to reset a machine (because you change it or the hard drive fails) just email me and I will reset it for you. I will get around to having the system allow you to remove a machine, but for now, you will have to drop me an email. A number of people have been doing this for some time now with no problems.
