Regarding the future development of Swordfish, I've posted some notes on the wiki which I hope to update on a regular basis...

Thank you David for your reply.
I think no good idea to restrict your compiler.
Excuse me , it's just my opinion.
This is not the first attempt to be done something similar.
Look please:
http://www.midwest-software.com
It uses the same idea.Restricted to PIC18XXXX,and a second variant for dsPic only.
If is successfull or not?
Best regards

Hi all,
I also think, it's fair enough when the support will be the same.
I had a look at the midwest Basic and I have seen, that there where no board like at Swordfish or MikroBasic. Without the fast support I would despair.
I also think the update process from Midwest Basic isn't as good as like the update process from MikroBasic or Swordfish. With every major update you have to pay a fee. I don't want to pay again and again for updates because of bugs!!!!
It seems like Midwest-basic ist dead because the site wasn't updated since 24.10.2005. In my opinion it isn't a wonder!
Best wishes
