S1D13700 GLCD Question and confusion!

Hello,
I read a post where the module S1D13700.bas was used by mgrondstra to drive a controller JHD639 that riding a RA8835.
In internet many people define that as equivalent to the SED1335 .. so the module can drive all 3 type of controller?
All 3 controllers have the same pinout and can be configured for CPU 6800 or 8800 .. I understand correctly or there's the rub.
Only costs are the difference, S1D13700 it starts from 90 up to 100 euro and RA8835 / SED1335 starts from 40 up to 50 euro.

I've never used these chips but a quick Google suggests they are pretty much compatible. The S1D13700 is newer, has memory integrated (presumably the older chips needed an external RAM chip for graphics data) and has a slightly different setup sequence. Easiest thing is just to Google 'SED1335 S1D13700' and you'll find loads of links.

to whom it may concern ..
The S1D13700 is fully compatible with the LCD JHD639MB fitted with more or less the same controller.
In ebay from China there is a model that has a pcb with an unofficial and errata pinout.
The display in question only has 20 pin connector ( CN1 as like stripline CN2 ) , not the usual 22 as in datasheet, and are connected in this way:

1 - GND
2 - VDD
3 - Voo
4 - A0
5 - RW
6 - E
7:14 - date
15 - CS
16 - RST
17 - Vee
18 - Frontal GND (but same GND)
19 - A Led Backlight
20 - Led Backlight K

The supplier said that the backlight was not connected to the connector at 2.54 but it is not.
The backlight also does not need resistors because they are already mounted on the LED module so just put LEDA to VDD and LEDK to GND. With onboard J1 and J2 you can turn on backlight in fixed manner.
Contrast regulation must be made with a trimmer between VDD and VEE with cursor on the Voo pin.
